Facts you can follow to the source.
Mountain statistics link to official resort information. “Not published” means a figure was not listed in the source we reviewed. Resort difficulty labels are not standardized ratings. Published terrain describes the mountain, not what is open today.
Forecasts and observations are different.
National Weather Service point forecasts describe an area near each ski resort, not exact summit conditions. Forecasts have issued timestamps; nearby observations include their station and time. The site checks freshness every minute and when you return to a tab, hides forecasts at 12 hours and observations at two hours, and refreshes weather approximately every 15 minutes while visible.
Weather outages produce an explicit unavailable state and a direct NWS link. A forecast does not establish whether a resort is open or making snow. Confirm operating status with the official resort report.
